The KCP program has a reputation of being rigorous, and students said they learned a lot in their time here. As my personal goals require me to become functionally fluent and literate in a reasonable amount of time, I chose KCP to help get me there.

The most interesting aspect of this program is how intensive everything is and how much assistance you receive with all of the staff. I have never had so much care from a staff ever. They were wonderful people and one of the reasons I would return to the program and recommend it to others.

I think that being a part of the tea ceremony as well as the overnight Hakone / Yamanashi trip were that highlights of the events/activities.

Even though I didn’t do well but, I came home with the understanding of Japanese. I love all the teachers they were the best, can’t wait to go again.

Events where we could interact with native Japanese speakers were productive. Other events that let me interact with my classmates outside of the classroom such as the Barbecue provided a great chance to utilize what we learned in class, as well as being fun.

I selected this program because after looking through the KCP website, I realized that this program had a lot to offer to those seeking greater achievements. I believed that it would allow me to wholisticly improve my Japanese because of its environment that focuses on helping the students to reach higher personal achievements and language proficiency levels.

The regular classes were my favorite part I think, since you learn new things every day and get to practice Japanese in the classroom environment.

I really enjoyed the barbecue because I got to see how many songs turners there really are at KCP!

I really enjoyed the actual classes themselves. It was very engaging and the teachers were resourceful in the case that someone didn’t understand something.

Having three different teachers I feel helped the most. I got to see the content taught from different perspectives and it helped me think of it using different approaches.
