The most productive aspect was the lecture style. I like how the teachers rotate so you have three different teachers every week!

Provided a lot of background information regarding history and cultural shifts to provide a basis for any cultural differences which are immediately obvious to those living in Japan for the first time.

Pair work is probably most helpful. This is because it allows us to practice the new grammar as we are learning it.

The frequency of tests meant there was no time to become complacent. The text books (particular grammar) were very helpful for setting everything out clearly. These should be useful even after the course has ended.

I loved the excursions and talking with the teachers about the history of the places we were going.

The classes in general were very productive, particularly after the midterm where the pace really picked up and I could actively feel my level improving week on week. The culture classes were also very interesting, as the knowledge of the teachers adds another level to the experience that just individual sightseeing doesn’t.

Bus trip to Edowonderland. It was very fun to go and learn about the Edo period in Japan, as I’d always enjoyed the aesthetic.

I enjoyed the cookout the most. It was in a beautiful location, and everyone worked together to gather the needed ingredients.

The teachers of KCP were some of the most open, supporting teachers I have ever had and the staff really tried their best to help you with whatever you need.

KCP gave me a glimpse of the Tokyo lifestyle, and allowed me to better myself in language and as a person!
