The most productive aspect of this program was the Japanese language course taught Monday through Friday at KCP. The teachers were excellent and I learned so much from the classes! Since we have conversation practice everyday with our classmates in class, I felt that my Japanese speaking skills have definitely improved.

The instructors made sure to include everybody in the lesson, which meant nobody was left behind on the lesson.

I was initially sceptical of classes that were 100% in Japanese (i.e. without come explanation in English), but am now a complete convert to this fully immersive method of teaching.

The Koto club lessons, calligraphy class, Bon festival, Yamanashi Prefecture trip, yukata lesson, tea ceremony, and more!

I was extremely genuinely pleased with everything relating to the dorm. The room was spacious and quiet and comfortably cooled, the rules were fair, the cafeteria was nice, and the dorm manager and his wife were some of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I truly have no complaints for my dorm experience.

The most productive and interesting aspects of the program were being in classes with people from all around the world. We could only use Japanese, and it was a lot of fun. I don’t think there was anything that wasn’t interesting or productive.

For new students or those considering, KCP is a great school to advance in the Japanese language. I wish I would have started learning Japanese at KCP instead of at my home college.

Having studied at KCP last year and this, my Japanese improved in ways I did not think were possible. KCP offerd a real Japanese school education.

The most interesting and productive aspects of the program for me, were all the conversation opportunities. Those are most important. Especially, for an American student. Most of us rarely ever get the chance to practice speaking Japanese, so when we are at KCP, when they dedicate part of the class to conversation, it is very beneficial to us, because we never get those chances.

The dorm manager at Tanashi II was super nice and the food was always delicious!
