Study study study or you'll fall behind and it's super hard to catch up again!

Ellora from Spring 2023

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

I really enjoyed activities that took the students out of tokyo to experience other areas.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

The amount of conversation practice in class was very productive.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

Pair work was helpful and so was drill practice. I thought the textbooks were also very useful for checking my own understanding.

Any suggestions for improving class activities or materials?

Honestly maybe more drill work would have been useful to see more examples of how to use the content we learned.

Any comments or tips for prospective/new KCP students?

Study study study or you'll fall behind and it's super hard to catch up again! Also, go out of your way to speak to fluent speakers and take advantage of your opportunity to get real practice.

Testimonials

KCP is a great school and you can learn a lot here if you put in the work. Expect to study a lot, and expect teachers to be strict when grading, especially in levels 1-4. There will be days when you don’t think you’re getting any better, but that’s usually because the classes are always going to be challenging. That’s a good thing.
