I would say the trip to Ueno museum was my favorite.

Gary from Winter 2020

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

I would've loved the Kamakura trip the most, but of the culture trips were cancelled. With that being said, I would say the trip to Ueno museum was my favorite. I am a Japanese history major and being at a place about that was amazing. Seeing the ukiyo printing was awesome as well.

Any suggestions for improving class activities or materials?

Less time going over homework, but use that time to continue the lessons.

What did you find most valuable in the Culture Course?

The chance to go on trip with the purpose of exploring and learning about Japan's history and civilization.

Anything you especially liked in the living arrangements? Any problems you experienced?

The privacy of the dorms was amazing and helpful.

Any comments or tips for prospective/new KCP students?

Studying a lot and make out of class meetings with classmates and teachers. Also, do your best to find random people outside to coverse in Japanese.

Testimonials

KCP’s Summer (short) term program fit my personal schedule very well. It was also the most professional and affordable program that I could find. It also included a cultural aspect to its education program that I appreciated.
