The odaiba class trip was very informative!

Reyna from Fall 2017

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

I very much enjoyed the odaiba class trip. It was very informative and I enjoyed the scenery very much.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

The most interesting was the extra classes explaining more aspects of Japanese culture that also involved field trips to historic places.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

I found the pair work to be he most helpful.

What did you find most valuable in the Culture Course?

I felt the discussions about manga and anime in Japanese lives and the various functions it serves was very enlightening.

Any further thoughts or tips for those considering the program or new KCP students?

Classes are very fun. The most enjoyable experience for me was going out with other students and roaming around in ikebukuro. It was also very helpful in class to pair up with a student and ask questions.

Testimonials

In general, I think the KCP program is really great and I’m very glad I decided to do it. It was a lot of work, but I learned a lot, met many interesting people from all over the world, and got to have a very different experience of Japan than the normal tourist.
