The Culture Course is a valuable experience
Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?
I loved the tea ceremony very much. I don't think I would have been able to learn about a tea ceremony like that otherwise. I very much enjoyed it.
Why did you select this program?
This program was the best reviewed program I could find. And very affordable for a college level study abroad program.
What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?
Visuals, pair work for sure, I liked games a lot as well.
What did you find most valuable in the Culture Course?
All of it! I was very excited for all the culture classes and I'm very happy with what was covered.
Were you pleased with the general living arrangements? Anything you especially liked? Any problems you experienced?
I actually REALLY love my dorm. I've been to the other dorm and I much prefer the one I have now. I also weirdly have a nicer room than a couple of the other students here. My room is more rectangular so I have more space in the middle which I love. I love the location around the dorm as well. Only complaint is having no real counter space. I like to cook but I've been able to figure things out for the most part. I really do like my dorm.
Any further thoughts or tips for those considering the program or new KCP students?
Not really, I would just say do your research. I watched any and all videos on Youtube that people made about the program and that really helped me in choosing this program. I even interviewed a couple past students on their time here.
Any other comments or suggestions?
Nope! I'm really happy with this program and I'm glad I'm here.
