The US program overnight trip for the culture class and the bus trips were fun!

Shannon from Spring 2017

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

The US program overnight trip for the culture class and the bus trips were my favorite events that I participated in while at KCP. They were fun, and gave me a chance to go outside of Tokyo and make friends.

Why did you select this program?

I had learned KCP was a good school for those serious about learning. I wanted to learn as much as possible, so I decided KCP was a good choice for that.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

I liked the kanji textbook and the 発音練習. I also liked receiving homework worksheets that were relevant to the grammar we learned in class.

Any further thoughts or tips for those considering the program or new KCP students?

Be prepared to study hard at KCP. If you're a beginner in Japanese you will do very well to start here. The environment is great, and the teachers and advisors are the most helpful people you'll ever find. The dorm rooms are small but are well maintained. I loved my experience at KCP so much I went twice!

Testimonials

If you’re looking for an intensive course, then KCP is the place to go! Although it was hard work, it was also a lot of fun and I’m very pleased with my current language skill – and I’ve only just finished Level 1! Going out with the class for a final dinner really showed me how much we’d learnt as we had no problems in conveying our feelings even though our only common language was Japanese. I’d come back in a heartbeat.
